The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 829 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.
The health agency in a tweet on its social media account on Saturday also confirmed one new COVID-19 related death.
The fresh cases were confirmed in 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The new cases brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 83,576.

The States with confirmed cases are; Lagos-296, FCT-291, Kaduna-79, Rivers-40, Kano-35, Nasarawa-25, Bauchi-19, Benue-8, Borno-7, Edo-7, Oyo-7, Sokoto-7, Cross River-3, Jigawa-, Ogun-2.
While the health agency confirmed that 70,495 have been successfully treated and discharged from isolation centres across the country, it said 1,247 people have lost their lives to the pandemic.
