Niger State Government in unison with the critical Stakeholders in the State has made a passionate appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to expedite action in addressing the Infrastructural deficiency as well as security challenges in the State.

The appeal was made during a stakeholders meeting held at the Government House Minna at the instance of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada.

Mary Noel-Berje, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor in a statement said the meeting is in response to the #EndSARS protest by youths in some parts of the country which led to looting and destruction of public and private facilities having been hijacked by hoodlums.

Addressing the gaathering, the Minister, commended the Youths of the State for limiting their protest to what affects them most in a peaceful manner.

He explained that as a Nigerlite, he feels the pain of the people of the State as regards insecurity, poor roads, inadequate power supply, Baro Port, and delay in the take-off of HYPPADEC, but however, said he was only a representative of the President.

He then promised to relay the concerns of the State to the President while calling on all and sundry to continue to support the present administration.

Dada equally called on parents, religious and traditional leaders to help in cautioning the Youths to understand that to every right, there is a corresponding responsibility.

According to him, the strength of the nation is in its diversity hence the need to give peace a chance as anarchy brings setback to any society, and Nigeria is already bedeviled with a myriad of challenges that have affected the economy.

In his remarks, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello through his Deputy said the State Government together with the critical stakeholders have taken the same position and enjoined the Minister of State to adequately furnish Mr. President on their position.

Various speakers including Members of the National Assembly, representatives of Youth groups, women, religious and traditional institutions took turns to speak on the Infrastructural deficit and Security challenges confronting the State.

They said the state deserves more from the Government at the center as it did play and still playing a significant role in the development of the nation.
