The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 120 new cases of COVID-9 and no related death in the last 24hours across the country.
The NCDC said that the country has so far registered 160,657 COVID-19 confirmed cases withe 145,399 recoveries leaving the actives cases in Nigeria at 13,245 .
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Sunday.
According to the NCDC since the outbreak over a year ago, Nigeria had tested 1,601,396 people,while 2,013 people have lost their lives to the pandemic.
It disclosed that 685 people were successfully treated and discharged between Saturday and Sunday.
“Our discharges on Sunday include 82 community recoveries in Lagos State, managed in line with guidelines,” it stated.
According to data released by the agency, the new cases are reported across 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It said that Lagos, Rivers and Kaduna States recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections on Sunday, with 32, 25 and 20 cases respectively.
Othere were Bayelsa 13, Kano 7, Jigawa 5, Borno 5, Abia 4, Oyo 3, Plateau 2, FCT 1, Ogun 1, Nasarawa 1 and Imo 1.
It stated that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operation Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities in the country.
