Nollywood actress, Sarah Martins has taken to social media to cry out after she was physically assaulted by operatives of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force while carrying out a charitable act in Lagos.

The actress, in an emotional post shared via her Instagram page on Thursday, October 16th, narrated how she was harassed and had her belongings confiscated while cooking free meals for the vulnerable and homeless.

She wrote: “My heart aches. “Today, as I was cooking free food for the vulnerable and homeless people on the streets of Lagos like I always do, some uniform men came there, harassed me, bullied me and took away the food I was cooking, took away my cooking gas and everything I was making free food with.”

According to Martins, her only “offense” was trying to show love and compassion through her charitable gesture.

“My only offense was serving love on a plate through my healthy meals. I am not a chef and I do not cook to sell. My heart aches,” she lamented.

The actress also shared a video clip showing the aftermath of the incident, which has since gone viral and drawn widespread condemnation from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
