The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has commenced an investigation into a crash-landing incident involving A HS25 aircraft operated by Flint Aero at Ibadan airport, Oyo state.
NSIB revealed that “our investigators are on site, and further information will be provided as soon as possible.”
According to NSIB Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr James Odaudu, the cause of the incident is not yet clear.
“The Minister for Power, Adebayo Adelabu on Friday, 3rd of November, 2023 departed Abuja on the jet operated by Flint Aero only to crash-land on arriving in Ibadan.
Findings revealed that about 10 passengers and 3 crew members were onboard the aircraft.
“Aircraft was airborne Abuja at 1841 and crashed into the bush short of the Runway at about 1921utc. No fatalities but the aircraft sustained substantial damage.”
