The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki alongside his Deputy, Philip Shaibu have been administered the oaths of office as Governor and Deputy Governor for the second term in office.
The event held at the Tennis Court of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Thursday had in attendance, President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Edobor Iyamu.
Also present were Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State; Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State ; Wyesom Wike of Rivers and Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State.
Others present are; National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus; Vice Chairman, PDP South-South, Chief Dan Orbih; former Minister of Works, Mike Onolememe, Speaker Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Marcus Onobu; Chief Judge of Edo State, Esther Edigin and the Commissioner of Police Edo State, Johnson Kokumo, among others.
