The Independent National Electoral Commission has released the final list of governorship candidates and their deputies ahead of the Ondo State Governorship election for the scheduled to hold on October 10.
In a statement by the national commissioner and chairman, information and voter education committee,Festus Okiye,Esq withdrawal and substitution of candidates ended on the 18 of August with four political parties substituting their candidates.
He listed the parties to include African Democratic Congress(ADC),Action Democratic Party(ADP),Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
The ADC,ADP and PDP withdrew and substituted their deputy governorship candidates while Zenith Labour Party substituted both their Governorship and deputy Governorship candidates.
In the list obtained via INEC’s Twitter handle on Friday, 17 political parties had their candidates and running mates enlisted.
The parties include the ruling All Progressives Congress, the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, and 15 other political parties.
