Oba Akinruntan; who is the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom; specifically showered encomiums on the Governor whom he said have received commendations from the Obas countless times.

“All the Obas in the eighteen Local Government Areas of Ondo State have decided to support Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for a second term in office.”

Speaking for Ondo North Senatorial District, the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko; Oba Alhaji (Dr.) Adebori Adeleye, JP; praised Governor Akeredolu for the massive ongoing and completed roadworks in the region.

“Despite the fact that the Owo – Ikare road belongs to the Federal Government, Akeredolu has done it, with solid reconstructions.”

Speaking for the Central Senatorial District, the Deji of Akure; Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi; commended the Governor for the good works, especially in Akure metropolis.

“Should we talk about the University Teaching Hospital in Akure? Or, is it the network of roads constructed in the state capital? Anywhere I go, I tell people of the great work Akeredolu has done. I don’t think we have any alternative than to support Akeredolu.”

For the Southern Senatorial District, the Abodi of Ikale land; Oba Babatunde Faduyile; was full of applauses for the Governor whom he said has done great developmental works in the region.

“For a long time, the University was abandoned till the Governor came and built conducive buildings for the tertiary institution. Before, the Okitipupa – Ayeka – Irele road was impassable, but Mr Governor has done it. Take a look at the ongoing seaport project, and the positive effects it would have on the development of the region and the state generally. My fellow Obas, I am declaring my support for the Governor.”

With these extolments, the Obas prayed for Akeredolu for success in his bid for a second term in office as Ondo State Governor.

Responding, the Governor expressed his happiness at the endorsement by the Obas, and promised to do more for the development of the state when reelected.
