The Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Olayato Aribo, has called on civil servants to be steadfast, hardworking, diligent, committed to official duties, to continually influence the society positively and not to rescind from their service to humanity.
The Commissioner who made this known in Akure during the valedictory lecture organized in honour of the retiring and outgoing Administrative Secretary of the Ministry; Mr. Oluseyi Adesusi; observed that Mr. Adesusi has made series of unprecedented positive impacts in the Ministry.
The Commissioner further described the reitred Administrative Secretary the as a professional to the core, who has left indelible track records that can never be forgotten easily.
Mr. Aribo also advised the celebrant to do things that will make him happy and shun unnecessary worries, saying what he needs now is rest of mind and move closer to God.
He added that the government would look into recommendations and suggestions he noted in his lecture tagged “My Odyssey In The Forestry Sub-Sector”, stressing that they are required for the development of the State in general.
Also speaking, the former Director of Forestry in the State, Alhaji Taiwo Adetula, said Mr. Adesusi is a gentleman who understands the forestry sub-sector very well, maintaining that he is a very hard working Forester.
He congratulated him on his retirement, whilst appealing to the government to plant more trees, because development of forest is important to humanity.
In his appreciation message, the celebrant, thanked God for granting him the privilege to witness his 60th birthday and retirement from service. He promised not to relent in his service to God and humanity.
The highpoint of the occasion was the Pen’s Down which was performed by the Head of Service, Pastor Niran Adeyemo, represented by the Director, Industrial Labour, Mr. Ayo Ageh and the Pull Out Parade, which was done by Forest Guards and Produce Officers.
