Dear Comrade Joe Ajaero,
I write to you not just as a concerned observer, but as someone who once held you in the highest esteem; a man who rose from humble beginnings, a faithful member of the Mountain of Fire, a fiery unionist who fought gallantly for workers’ rights, and the General Secretary of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE). You were once a symbol of hope, a fearless advocate for justice and equity in Nigeria’s labour landscape. But today, I write with a heavy heart, bewildered by your tragic descent into betrayal, greed, and moral bankruptcy.
- The Rise of a Comrade
Your journey was inspiring. You started small, built your reputation on the backs of the workers you swore to protect, and fought battles that many feared to confront. Under your leadership, NUEE stood as a formidable force against oppression, and for a time, it seemed you were truly a man of the people. Workers looked up to you, believing you were different; a leader who would never sell them out.
- The Fall: Money, Power, and Betrayal
But somewhere along the line, you lost your way. The same fire that once burned for justice was extinguished by the allure of money and political patronage. The most egregious of your betrayals is your collusion with the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) to cheat 47,917 workers—the very people you swore to protect. You sat at the table with oppressors, negotiated away their livelihoods, and pocketed the rewards of their suffering.
What happened to the man who once stood firm against injustice? Where is the fearless comrade who would rather face persecution than compromise? You have become everything you once fought against—a traitor, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a labour leader who now pays people in high places to suppress agitations from the workers who brought you to prominence.
- The Spirit Has Left You—Like King Saul
There was a time when the Spirit of the Lord guided your steps, when your courage was fueled by righteousness. But like King Saul, you have been abandoned by divine favour because of your disobedience and greed. Now, you seek power from the devil—using intimidation, manipulation, and corruption to silence dissent. You think because you have money and connections, you are untouchable. You are wrong.
The Consequences Are Coming
History and karma do not forget. The consequences of your betrayal will unfold in ways you cannot escape:
- Loss of Legacy – The name Joe Ajaero, once revered, will be remembered with scorn. Future generations will speak of you not as a hero, but as a cautionary tale of greed.
- Divine Judgment – You may evade man’s courts, but you cannot escape God’s. The same God who lifted you will bring you low if you do not repent.
- Revolt from Within – The workers you betrayed will rise. No amount of paid suppression can forever silence the cries of 47,917 and by extension 192000 cheated souls. A day of reckoning is coming.
- Political Isolation – The same powerful allies you bribe today will discard you tomorrow. When your usefulness ends, they will abandon you.
- Eternal Shame – Wealth acquired through betrayal is fleeting. When the truth is fully exposed, you will live in infamy.
A Final Plea
Comrade Ajaero, it is not too late to repent. Return to the path of justice. Stand again for the workers before the consequences consume you. The same people you betray today may still forgive you if you make amends. But if you continue down this road, you will fall, and no one will mourn your downfall.
The choice is yours.
