The Owa ruling house of Idanre has dismissed a purported petition claiming that Prince kayode Aroloye is not eligible to be Owa of Idanre

A statement signed by Fadekemi Aroloye on behalf of the ruling house stated that Prince Kayode Aroloye is eminently qualified.

According to the statement, he was one of the 21 candidates who applied to fill the stool of Owa of Idanre, he was vetted and among the 7 candidates shortlisted and forwarded to the kingmakers and one of the 5 cleared by the kingmaker to be elected.

The statement however affirmed his right to the throne following the “registered declaration and the Morgan commission report, which were used by the family and the kingmakers”

“Our attention has been drawn to a purported petition written to the executive governor of Ondo state Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, claiming that Prince kayode Aroloye is not eligible to be Owa of Idanre

“We would have ignored the said petition because we know that the officials of government of Ondo state are well grounded and highly knowledgeable and cannot be deceived by a selfish fraction of the Owa Royal Family ,but because the petition was circulated on social media, hence the reply.

“When the royal family called for application from members who were interested in filling the stool of Owa of Idanre, Prince Kayode Aroloye was one of the 21 candidates that applied

“At the vetting level by the committee set up by the family to scrutinise the candidates, Prince Kayode Aroloye was one of the 7 shortlisted names forwarded to the kingmakers.

“He was also one of the 5 cleared by the kingmakers for election out of the 7 names forwarded by the royal family.

“This is possible because prince Kayode Aroloye is a great grand son of Oba Aladegbule Aroloye, the 25th Owa of Idanre.

“By the registered declaration and the Morgan commission report, which were used by the family and the kingmakers, Prince Kayode Aroloye is eminently qualified.

“The immediate past Owa, who is the father of this line of the royal family was imposed on the people by the instumentality of western state government after losing more than 4 times to his junior brother after the vote by the kingmakers; no wonder their fears. He who kills by the sword.

“We would not bother to petition the Governor as they have done, because there are so many of petitions with the government including those quering the legitimacy of having the next Owa among the sons of the immediate past owa when we have more than 7 lineages eminently eligible to fill the stool.

“We advise the children of the immediate past Owa to maintain decorum. The ascension of their father to the throne was full of shit,we hope they would not allow us to spill more.”
