The Ondo State Chapter of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) has condemned in strong terms the callous killings of innocent people at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State; saying it is heartless and devilish.
The state President, Dr. Jumoke Aborode, in a statement on Monday said it is disheartening and condemnable for some individuals to open fire and kill unjustly in the House of God.
Dr. Aborode expressed heartfelt condolence to families of victims, the Ondo State Governor; Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu; the Olowo of Owo; Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye, the Owo Chapter of NCWS led by Chief (Mrs) Eniolorunda and the entire good people of Owo Kingdom.
She prayed God gives the families of the affected ones the fortitude to bear the great loss of their loved ones.
Aborode who noted that the security challenge in the country has taken a dangerous dimension, urged all women to be watchful and report any unwanted movement to the appropriate quarters.
The State President also used the opportunity to commiserate with the NCWS Owo Chapter led by Chief (Mrs) Eniolorunda, the Catholic community and the entire people of Ondo State, and prayed that evil deeds will not occur anymore in the state.
