Oyo State government says it has discharged a total of seventy eight patients from the state Isolation Centers after their second COVID-19 Negative test result in the last twenty four hours.
Governor Seyi Makinde who is also the Chairman of the state COVID19 task force announced this in his daily updates tweets.
He noted that a total of 1,335 persons infected with the virus have been successfully treated and discharged since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Governor Makinde also announced the confirmation of eight suspected cases in four local government whose test results came back positive.
The cases are from Ibadan South West (4), Ibadan North (1), Ibadan South East (1), Ibadan North West (1) and Lagelu (1) LGAs bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State to 2768.
He however implored the people to continue to embrace all NCDC protocols like social distancing and wearing of facemask and to call the state emergency operation numbers if they. feel any symptoms.
