The Ondo State Police Command has arrested two commercial motorcyclist for allegedly acting as informants and helping kidnappers in the state.

Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilfred Afolabi who disclosed this while addressing journalists in Akure on Tuesday identified the suspects as Komolafe Sunday and Lekan Temitope.

He revealed that five other suspected kidnappers were also arrested in different locations within two weeks.

According to the CP, one of the informant Sunday, also known as Veego, was apprehended on February 22, 2025, by the police special squad through technical support.

During interrogation, he confessed to assisting kidnappers by providing food for their captives and receiving payments based on the number of victims.

He also served as a spy, monitoring road movements for the criminals.

Sunday’s arrest led to the capture of two suspected kidnappers, Umaru Abubakar Sanda and Yusuf.
