“At Iworoko Ekiti, a self-acclaimed Prophet, Ajayi Oluwatoyin, was arrested for raping a 20-year-old 100-level student of Ekiti State University,” he said.

He said the arrests were part of the command’s renewed efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

Eribo explained that two suspects, Bolaji Kazeem and Isa Sikirulahi, were apprehended with a locally-made pistol loaded with a live cartridge and a battle axe while riding a TVS NEO motorcycle at Isato area of Ado-Ekiti.

He added that another stolen motorcycle was later recovered from their hideout in Omisanjana.

The commissioner also said one Abolaji Rasheed, popularly known as B.J., from Owena in Osun State, was arrested while attempting to steal a motorcycle along Igbara Odo Road, Ogotun-Ekiti, as his accomplices escaped arrest.

He further revealed that two other suspects, Mohammed Jamiu and Ahmed, were nabbed for stealing a Toyota Cabster vehicle parked by its owner at Tipper Garage, Ijigbo area of Ado-Ekiti.

Also at Aramoko, a suspect, Ajetomobi Ayomide, was apprehended by officers for defiling an eight-year-old girl on several occasions and threatening to kill her if she exposed the act.
