A People’s Democratic Party Chieftain, Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu, has charged Nigerian political leaders to be truthful to the cause of justice and be fair to all tribes in line with the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers.
Adu who was an aspirant for the ticket of House of Representatives in the just concluded Akure South/North Federal Constituency election made the charge in his Independence day message.
According, the 62nd anniversary is yet another opportunity for Nigerians to come together irrespective of the wave of challenges to rebuild the nation.
In a release personally signed and made public, Adu wished Nigerians a happy celebration just as he charged them not to forget the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes past.
He noted that Nigeria is at a crossroad and that the decisions the people take in 2023 elections will go a long way in rewriting its tales of woe.
Adu expressed hope in a great nation stressing that Nigerians will again witness life abundant and prosperity as the best of times still lie ahead.
He also called for unity of purpose that favours competence above tribal sentiments which is capable of undermining the pursuit of a great nation.
