Just some few days after a 100 level undergraduate was raped and murdered in a church in Benin City; the Edo State capital, another rape case has been reported in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The Ado-Ekiti rape case is that of a 17 year old girl who was aledgedly gang-raped by three teenagers.
Presentng, reliably gathered that the incident happened at Oja Oba area of Ado Ekiti at about 7pm of Monday.
The victim was said to be hawking sachet water when the boys who were regular faces in the area forced her to a corner and gang raped her.
The teenager was taken to the hospital where the case of rape was established.
Report has it that the Office of the wife of the Governor; which was notified; paid for the hospital bill of the survivor.
When contacted, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident.
He said two of the suspects have been arrested for further investigation.
