The death of popular Nigerian trado-medical practioner, Fatai Yusuf has continued to generate a whirlwind of controversy since the news of his murder filtered into the airwave.
The native doctor was allegedly gunned down by unknown assailants on Thursday while on his way to Iseyin along Igbo-Ora- Eruwa road in Oyo state.
Despite the secrecy that shrouded his killing, there seems to be a link that could lead an investigation into the real cause of his death.
In a fresh fact released by the Oyo state police command on Friday, it was noted that ‘Oko Oloyun’ could have actually been killed due to an alleged book keeping records fraud which he detected in his Lagos office.
According to the command spokesman, Gbenga Fadeyi, the discorvery of the fraud was suspected to have led to the burning and destruction of financial and book keeping records in the office.
The PPRO however believed there was a plausible link between the fire outbreak that consumed the financial records in the office and his gruesome murder on Thursday.
Some staff of the native doctors and police officers who were in his escort during the incident were said to be undergoing questioning at the state Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan.
