The House of Representatives has invited the Chairman Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyode to participate in the investigation concerning the N15 million bribery allegations.
In a letter dated 27th September 2024, the committee requested the EFCC Chairman and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Correctional Service to show up on Monday, September 30, along with all officers linked to the accusation.
The accusation of bribery against the anti-graft agency and the Nigeria Correctional Service stemmed from a viral social media voice chat involving Idris Okuneye, a crossdresser sentenced earlier this year for naira misuse.
The trending voice chat claimed that Bobrisky paid N15 million to EFCC to dismiss money laundering charges and stayed in a VIP facility instead of prison.
The House Committee is also inviting Bobrisky and a social media influencer, Martins Otse, known as Very Dark Man, on social media who released the voice recording.
