The Governor stated that all the alternative routes will be cleaned up more than before to help with ease of traffic. He further stated that more traffic officers and security operatives will be deployed to the roads as was done during the December period.

He appealed to Lagosians to keep obeying traffic rules and also offices that can work from home, or work online for this period of the work.

Over the weekend, the state government announced the closure of Independence Bridge (Marina bound) starting April 1 for essential maintenance and rehabilitation works which is projected to be completed by the end of May.
