South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa has been sworn in for a second full term as President,after his weakened African National Congress (ANC) struck a government coalition deal.
The president took his oath of office before Chief Justice of South Africa, Raymond Zondo in Pretoria on Wednesday.
“I Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa swear that I will be faithful to the Republic of South Africa, and will obey, observe, uphold and maintain the Constitution and all other law of the Republic,” the 71-year-old said.
His swearing-in witnessed dignitaries from all over Africa and the world including President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and former President Olusegun Obasanjo
