Following the demise of Oba Israel Adeusi and in line with tradition,the Olufon’s palace have banned all commercial activities in the town till December 1st and all ceremonies for the next three months.
A statement issued by the Palace said all shops petrol stations,markets in Ifon will remain closed while commercial motorcyclists and drivers in the town shall also withdraw their services.
” Consequent upon the recent developments in Ifon town, the Olufon’s palace wishes to inform the general public that in line with our custom and tradition, all shops, petrol filling stations and markets in the town are to remain closed by tomorrow.

” For the next three months, beginning from tomorrow, Monday, 30th of November, 2020, all forms of ceremonies and partying in the town are prohibited.
” All religious leaders are to ensure that their services are carried out within their worship centers for the time being as there will not be room for open crusade” .
” Let it be noted that commercial activities will resume in the town on Tuesday, the 1st of December, 2020.
The statement however advised everyone to ensure strict compliance with the directives.
