Two persons have been confirmed dead after a Petrol laden tanker fell on it’s side, spilled its content and exploded in the early hours of Friday.
The incident which occured at an old tollgate along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway was said to have left many cars and properties destroyed while two persons were confirmed dead.
The bodies of the deceased were found at about 4am this morning after the fire had been put out.
The occurence which created a traffic gridlock along the expressway created a serious panic to some of the traders and motorists at the tollgate while several of the early risers were trapped in the traffic.
The deceased have been taken to the state hospital, Oju-Ore, Ota by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
