Twitter, which has been the converging point for most of all #EndSars online protesters has created an emoji to support the protest.
On Thursday night, Nigerians experienced Twitter glitch, but it was restored quickly and was attributed to that a global system change.
According to Twitter Support, “most of you should be back to Tweeting. The outage was caused by a system change initiated earlier than planned, affecting most of our servers.
We’re working hard to bring Twitter back to normal and expect things to be fully resolved in 1-2 hours. We appreciate your patience.”
What is, however, noticeable is that the #EndSARS hashtag now has an emoji.
Now, whenever #EndSars is typed on Twitter, an emoji of a shrouded fist colored green, white, green appears in front of the hashtag.
The #EndSars emoji comes in less than 48 hours after Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey declared support for the protest.
