Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, have been killed in a fatal road accident along the Akure-Ondo Expressway.
It was gathered that the victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, who were said to be on a motorcycle, were reportedly crushed by a speeding vehicle on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council Ondo State Chapter confirmed the incident on Thursday in a statement signed by the association’s chairman, Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary, Oluwanishola Ajibola and Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Blessing.
“This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community. The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life.
“These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.” the statement read.
