Nasarawa State Governor,Abdullahi Sule, has directed that all items requiring expenditures by members of the state executive council must henceforth pass through the State Bureau for Public Procurement for vetting.
The Governor gave the directive on Monday at the monthly state executive council meeting.
According to him submitting all items requiring expenditure to BPP help saves time in doing government business.
The Governor emphasized that, this has become necessary for the state to keep in line with the States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainabiity (SIFTAS), Programme-for-Results (PforR).

He further disclosed that the state BPP has commenced a training on procurement process, holding in Akwanga, adding that it has become necessary for members of the state executive council, to understand the process of ensuring that they send items requiring expenditure to the BPP in time.
