The Governor, who arrived at Ikogosi Ekiti at about 11:50am, expressed confidence that APC would win in all the 177 wards across the State in the 2026 June gubernatorial election.

Addressing the ecstatic party faithful at the Congress, Governor Oyebanji, who described the exercise as another demonstration of the maturity and discipline that define the APC in Ekiti State, said that his government has made positive impact in the lives of every individual in the state through human capital and infrastructural development.

The Governor further noted that the performance of his administration across various sectors has made the party more attractive to the people of Ekiti State.

Governor Oyebanji maintained that his administration’s outstanding performance and commitment to good governance have continued to attract members from other political parties into the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying opposition figures are daily identifying with the APC because they have seen the sincerity of purpose, transparency, and developmental strides of his government, which have repositioned the party as the preferred choice of the people in Ekiti State.

” You can see that our members are happy and united in one accord to exercise their franchise, you can also see that in all the wards, delegates will be elected by consensus that speaks to the unity between the leadership and the membership of the party in Ekiti states, in the last three years that we have been at the saddle, we have made the party more attractive to people, we have had a lot, a lot of members coming in from other parties to join APC because we have been able to deliver on various deliverables.

” I can assure you with God being on our side, the record we want to break by the grace of God, June 20 next year is the record of winning 177 wards, it has never happened in the history of this State before but June 20 next year, God being on our side, APC will win convincingly all the 177 wards”. The Governor asserted.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman Delegates Congress Committee, Mr Jaret Tenebe who congratulated the delegates from Ikogosi Ward 6, said the team had moved round all local governments and various wards in the state, commended the Governor for making the party more proud.

Expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the ward congresses, the Chairman said the party would follow all due process in ensuring that there is no crisis in the process.

The five delegates from Ikogosi Ward 06 are Dr Leye Adeniji, Mr Isaac Aladeselu, Mrs Yemisi Agbesusi, Mr Bayo Ajayi and Mr Ogunseesin.

Also at the Congress were, representatives of the party from the National Secretariat and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
