As unjustly treated, the people of South East deserve in commensurate measure a development commison that would assuage the pains of the civil war and offer development that would create jobs for our teaming youths.
This was the submission of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma who is of the view that dialogue and lobbying is the only way to address the problem and challenges of the south east.
Speaking during the flag off of the south east zonal public hearing on review of revenue allocation formula held in owerri recently, Gov Hope Uzodimma took time to emphasize on the best approach to addressing the grievances of the people of South East.
According to him, resultant effect of review on revenue sharing formula would give rise to a new formula that would create the development we seek in our zone.
Speaking further on modalities put in place to bring south east to the front burner, Gov Hope Uzodimma noted that the South East development Commission recently legislated upon would serve as channel through which the grievances of the igbo’s would be deliberated and acted upon.
Gov Hope Uzodimma reiterated his commitment in ensuring that the igbo’s get fair share of that which rightfully belongs to them.
