New Bafana Bafana  Manager, Stuart Baxter has sounded a note of warning to the Super Eagles.

Moments after he was unveiled  to the press yesterday, Baxter, said  he intends to make a winning start on his second return as South Africa coach, even as he prepares to name a strong squad on May 25  for the June 10, 2017  clash against Eagles in Uyo, Akwa Ibom  State.  The Englishman who signed a five-year contract, vowed to give Nigeria a tough time, adding that only winning is paramount against Gernot Rohr and his boys  .

“I hope we will be very competitive with Nigeria. We will give them a game,” Baxter told a press conference after his unveiling in Johannesburg.

“We need to be competitive and players will do it the South African way; that should reflect the play in the country,” said Baxter, who previously coached the 1996 African champions from May 2004 to November 2005.

The 63-year-old, who will continue to coach Premier Soccer League side SuperSport United until the end of the season, said there was no shortage of talent in South Africa.
