The Air component of operation Thunder Strike on Thursday launched air Strikes at the meeting venue of armed bandits in Kwaimbana Forest area of Kaduna State neutralising several bandits.
According to a statement by the Major General John Enenche,Coordinator Defence Media Operations,Defence Headquarters the air raid was conducted after series of intelligence, surveillance and Reconnaissance missions.
He said the missions led to the identification of the hideout along with a building in the centre of the area which was being used by the armed bandits as meeting venue.

Enenche said the NAF jets and helicopter gunships were dispatched to the location which resulted in the damaging of the building thereby neutralising the bandits.
“The Air Component dispatched Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets and helicopter gunships to attack the location. The attack aircraft took turns in engaging the target area, scoring accurate hits which resulted in the damage of the building as well as neutralization of several bandits.”
